Bean Bar is an independent speciality coffee shop, cafe and bar in the heart of Richmond. Bean Bar serves speciality coffee, teas, smoothies, and a wide selection of cocktails, wines, and spirits, We also serve freshly prepared breakfast, brunch and lunches by our in house chefs.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bartender/Barista to join our team on both a full or part time basis. The successful applicant will need to be available to work a variety of shifts which cover our opening hours: 7.30am to 6pm, Monday to Thursday; 7.30am to 9pm, Friday to Saturday; and 9am to 6pm on Sunday. You will be working independently for some shifts and with another Barista/Bartender at busy times. Shifts will include opening and closing the shop.

**Bartender / Barista mandatory requirements and responsibilities**:

- Has speciality coffee barista and coffee art skills. Understanding of speciality coffee with experience of dialling in and an understanding of grind adjustment
- Able to produce consistently high-quality drinks, understands milk textures, grinder adjustment and advanced latte art
- Has excellent bartending skills and experience with mixing cocktails
- Has a good understanding of spirits, cocktails and wines and measurements and a passion to upskill
- Takes pride in the drinks you make and the service you provide, with each drink delivered with style and consistency.
- Excellent customer service is essential. Service with a smile and an interest on building a rapport with regular customers. Must understand that the customer is always right
- Takes pride in their workplace, cleaning of station, customer seating area and toilets
- Server experience is would be an advantage
- Operate the till, take orders and engage with customers
- Provide basic food preparation

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 1 years’ experience working as a barista within speciality coffee
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience working as a bartender
- Excellent sales person with the ability to upsell drinks/food and meet sales targets
- Understanding of speciality coffee with some experience of dialling in and an understanding of grind adjustment
- Comfortable working shifts independently and/or long or short shift patterns when required
- Have an outgoing personality and genuinely enjoy talking to customer, Ability to get to know regulars and create good relationships with customers
- Able to work quickly, calmly, and efficient during busy periods
- A good all-rounder and team player with a positive can do attitude
- Fluent English speaker, possess the right to work in the UK
- Committed and reliable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Freelance
Part-time hours: 32 per week

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour
