Our ABS team provide a variety of services including bookkeeping, annual compliance, and advisor services. We aim to provide a flexible, cost-effective service which is designed to save administration time for our clients.

**The Team**

This role can be based in our Aberdeen or Dundee office. There will be opportunities to attend client premises and build strong client relationships both face-to-face and virtually.

You will join our existing team and no matter what office you are based in; you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team with a breadth of experience across a wide variety of sectors and industries.

**The Role**

This is a hands-on role, and you will have the opportunity to interact with a diverse range of clients in assisting them with their monthly/quarterly reporting obligations and assisting them in achieving their goals. You will also be providing coaching and mentoring to junior members of the team, along with reviewing their work.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for a portfolio of VAT/management accounts clients, across a variety of sectors, who operate both nationally and inter-nationally. This would involve processing book-keeping entries on client systems, reconciling control accounts, processing month-end accounting adjustments, setting up payment runs and completion of client VAT returns and management accounts
- Responsible for reviewing work of junior members of the book-keeping team
- Advising clients on accounting system selection (including Apps), implementation and training
- Actively communicate with partners in relation to their clients and liaise with other departments on mutual clients to share information e.g. payroll and tax
- Establish a professional and confident working relationship with clients, dealing with their queries, escalating these as appropriate, in order to enhance the Firm’s reputation and business opportunities
- Part Qualified or Qualified ACCA or equivalent experience
- Practice / professional services experience, covering a range of sectors
- Coaching/mentoring experience - ability to motivate, delegate effectively, develop the team and be a strong leader
- Strong client management experience
- Strong IT skills - Xero/ Sage 50 are essential, with a good knowledge of MS word/Excel.
- Organised with the ability to cope with multiple responsibilities within tight deadlines and take ownership
- Able to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues from a variety of sectors
