Your role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join our Front of House / Facilities team in Birmingham. You will be working on a broad range of reception and administration tasks, managing the switchboard and the helpdesk. You will be the first point of contact and an information point for our guests and colleagues. Reporting to the Head of Facilities, you will work closely with the other Receptionist and with teams both internally and externally.

Your key responsibilities:
Welcoming guests and building relationships with returning authors/agents/visitors

Answering all calls in a warm and friendly manner

Developing a good knowledge of the reception environment

General upkeep of the reception area

Providing administrative support to the Head of Facilities

Logging and following up on facilities issues, maintaining the helpdesk and liaising with contractors and suppliers

Acting as an information point for both staff and visitors

Essential experience and knowledge you’ll need to succeed:
Highly organised and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Able to be flexible during busy times as well as being self-motivated during quieter times

Exceptional attention to detail

Collaborative, with strong communication skills.

Enjoy being helpful to others

The ability to have a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience

Desirable skills we’d love you to have:
Prior experience in a front-of-house environment where you’ve gained switchboard experience

A passion for reading

**Salary**: £26,500

This is a full time, permanent role, and will be based in our offices in Birmingham
