We are currently looking for exceptional people to join our team and have a great opportunity for a **Food and Beverage Assistant**.

As a Food and Beverage Assistant you will support with the day to day running of the Food service areas and bars to ensure a high level of service is offered to guests.

**Key Responsibilities of the role**:

- To serve food and drinks to guests, ensuring requests and queries are responded to in a timely and friendly manner
- To communicate and work effectively within a team to ensure every guest leaves with the desire to return
- Ensure all cash, charges, floats and till procedures are carried out correctly (attention to detail is key)
- To maintain the cleanliness of all public areas

St Mawes is a traditional South Cornwall fishing village, bustling with waterfront activities and ferry trips to Falmouth, Trelissick Gardens, Malpas, or Truro. Alternatively, put your feet up and watch it all from the comfort of the hotel which is just a few metres from the water’s edge.

The Ship and Castle Hotel has 55 well-appointed rooms. There are a range of rooms to choose from, including single, twin, classic twin, superior double, superior twin, and premier double rooms. For truly breathtaking views, make sure to ask specifically for a room with a sea view. All rooms at the Ship and Castle in St. Mawes have everything you could need for a comfortable stay including tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, and a flatscreen TV.

You can dine from a menu including traditional and modern dishes in either of our 2 dining areas. The homemade cream tea is a favourite for many visitors. Relax in the comfortable ‘The View’ café overlooking the bay, a great place to grab a quick bite to eat The hotel also has its own pub that has a great atmosphere, we recommend you nab a table in the conservatory for the full experience.

**About St Mawes, Cornwall**:
St. Mawes is a pretty village that once used to be a fishing port. Narrow streets and cottages help to give St. Mawes a quaint feel, albeit with all the modern facilities you could need. There’s a treasure trove of beaches, coves, and creeks all along the Roseland Heritage Coast, including beaches that are perfect for swimming and sunbathing.

You can take leisurely strolls along the coast, spend time relaxing on the beach or enjoy serene boat trips. If you are more active you can make the most of the wonderful walking trails and maybe take part in any of the water sport activities available. Our St. Mawes hotel also makes an excellent base from which to explore the region.
