Payroll Specialist

Bangor, United Kingdom NJM Accountancy Ltd Full time

Are you looking to develop your payroll career? To take it to the next step? To get closer to your customers and deliver the service they deserve?

If so, this new, exciting part-time opportunity is just for you.

You’ll join a team where you feel inspired, valued, and positively challenged. You’ll get help with any training and support you need, and you won’t have to fill out a timesheet in six-minute units

You’ll also be able to work flexible hours as there is more to life than work, with occasional remote working if you need it.

The office is based in the ‘Gold Coast’ City of Bangor. There’s free parking, we’re close to the sea with a gorgeous park, and one of the best cafes in Bangor is on our doorstep. Every month you’ll be treated to lunch for our monthly catch up

All of the software you will use is modern, up-to-date and in the cloud, and you’ll get full training on all of it when you join. You’ll also get access to Client Engager (our practice management software), so there is no faffing about with spreadsheets or pieces of paper to remember things

Your starting salary will be at least £27,300 FTE (We are looking for someone to work 20-30 hours per week) and maybe more depending on your experience. You’ll get 30 days of holiday (including bank holidays) in the first year, and then after that, you’ll get additional days for each year you are with us.

You won’t have to work every day over Christmas. We are organised enough to make sure we do all the payments we can before and you’ll get all your training costs and professional subscriptions paid for you as well.

After your probationary period, you'll be enrolled in our “sickness insurance”, so if you end up long-term sick, you’ll get 75% of your pay for up to 2 years

But don’t take our word for it, here’s what Debbie (Team member for seven years) has to say about working with us..

“The most supportive team I have ever worked in”

If you have at least 3 years of experience working in a payroll role, you’re just right for this position. You’ll be working on payroll processing, pension administration and all other duties that come with payroll.

As a Payroll Assistant, you will work within a welcoming team, reporting to the Payroll Team Leader or Payroll Manager. You'll ensure accurate and timely outsourced payroll production for various clients in accordance with statutory regulations and with a strong focus on customer service. You will build close working relationships with your clients and as your experience and expertise grow you will have the opportunity to further your career with us.

Payroll qualifications would be a big advantage but by no means necessary.

Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

- Additional leave
- Company pension
- Free parking
- On-site parking

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
