**About the role**
To support and deliver the commercial & build management requirements of the Fleet Services business. This role will deliver a critical support function specifically targeting our procurement, build management and supply-chain delivery processes. Commercial understanding and interpretation as well as some contract understanding and management will be required to ensure that Balfour Beatty’s needs are prioritised across the supply-chain. This role is required to engage closely with key supply-chain partners as well as internal stakeholders to ensure the on-time and successful completion of all vehicle builds.

This role can be called on to support the Commercial Manager - Fleet in all areas of their role. As a result, this role is also required to be proficient and exacting in the formulation, interpretation and exchange of a range of business and commercial information.

**What you'll be doing**
- Assist in internal, supply-chain and customer meetings where required, undertake minute taking and documentation management
- Align with the Commercial Vehicle Technical Engineer to support with supply-chain management, quotation generation, build management, end-to-end customer delivery management, post-delivery documentation control and management
- Ensure all stages of build are monitored, managed and reported on - specifically targeting HGV on-time deliveries, but also supporting with LCV process if required
- Act as a liaison between the Commercial & Operational teams to ensure a consistent approach to technical builds and build management
- Ensure accurate data capture and onward reporting for issues / technical challenges - manage and maintain ‘must inform’ / escalation processes
- Monthly Reporting
- Organisation and completion of Strategic Pricing support where required - Cars / LCV / HGV
- Control and update accordingly the Strategic Pricing documentation, BMS processes & procedures
- General support for Commercial Manager - Fleet

Support if required the External / Internal new business / PQQ & Tender submissions aligned to the BBG Gated Lifecycle process

**Who we're looking for**
The following qualities/experience are essential:

- Accurate & exceptionally organised, with good attention to detail
- Comfortable with facts & figures
- Structured project management approach
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Logical thinker
- Be able to keep information confidential, and respect the sensitive nature of information
- Web literate & good research skills
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- 5 GCSE’s, grades A-C or equivalent

The following qualities/experience are desirable:

- Basic knowledge of financial & commercial models
- Basic analytical skills
- Build management knowledge and experience
- Project management knowledge and experience
