Shipping & Logistics Administrator

My client, who is a distributor of specialist scientific equipment, now seeks a Shipping & Logistics Administrator to join their friendly team based in Harpenden.
Within the role you will manage and undertake product shipping and returns and maintain import/export documentation.
The role will also include all aspects of shipping, order processing, purchasing, and managing inventory in support of my client’s business.
In addition to this, you will process purchase orders for goods and services and place orders on Principals to ensure customer and inventory requirements are met.
You will also provide purchase order acknowledgement status and progress to customers, and invoice all goods shipped against customer purchase orders.
Inaddition to this you will also support the service and repair department by entering service schedule information on t my clients system as well as advising the service team on arrival of components, and liaising with customers on progress of repair orders.
In addition to this, you will also report on monthly stock levels, loan stock levels and any overdue service/maintenance issues.
The ability to move, lift and pack boxes is essential.
