**About the role**

To post holder will assist and support the Midlands Net Zero Hub to manage and engage with stakeholders and report to the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero on the teams progress on delivering regional energy and low carbon projects and programmes as part of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero Local Capacity Support Programme. This role will provide energy sector expertise to Midlands based organisations spanning public, private and community organisations that are developing local energy projects. Local Net Zero projects could include, energy generation and infrastructure, decarbonisation of heat and low carbon transport.

The Midlands Net Zero Hub was established in 2018 and is based within the Environment and Sustainability Division with Nottingham City Council. The MNZH is funded by the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero and covers the nine Local Enterprise Partnerships from across the Midlands.

The Net Zero Engagement and Reporting Lead will form part of the regional Net Zero team and will be responsible for acting as an information and reporting conduit between the Midlands region and the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**:

- Stakeholder engagement experience
- An ability to collate data and develop detailed reports on projects and programmes
- A broad understanding of Low Carbon and Renewable technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months

**Salary**: £36,298.00-£38,296.00 per year
