The Hospital needs you Be a part of a team you can be proud of.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Cook to work predominantly in the Production Kitchen, but who must also be willing to work as part of the wider team to provide services to our patients and staff.

Working 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 6.00am and 7.30pm depending on the requirements of the shift. There will be no split shifts. The rota covers five days out of seven and you will receive enhanced rates of pay for weekends worked. Shift patterns and hours of work will be discussed during the interview.

Applicants must have a good standard of education (please see the Person Specification for requirements). Previous catering experience is preferable, good verbal and written communication skills are important and we would ask that you already hold, or are willing to undertake, the Basic Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2.

The role involves carrying out physical tasks, including manual handling and lifting. You will be using industrial machinery andmust thereforebe **over 18 years of age **. You should be able to use your own initiative and possess good inter-personal skills.It is important you areof a smart appearance with a pleasant manner, able to work under pressure, to strict time schedules and in hot, humid conditions.
