**Ashton Recruitment requires a Leisure Assistant for their client based in Lisburn.**

**Position**: Leisure Assistant

**Location**:Lisburn

**Duration**: Temporary

**Rate of pay**: £10.01 per hour

**Hours of work**:Casual

**Duties include (but are not limited to)**:

- Ensure that a quality customer service is provided to customers on a consistent basis through the provision of clean and hygienic facilities and by helping ensure that the highest standards of health and safety for customers and colleagues are always maintained.
- The key purpose of this post will be to undertake Lifeguarding duties in a busy leisure facility.
- Help ensure the safe handling, erection/dismantling of all sports/activity equipment within the facility to ensure that all activity areas are suitably prepared/ready and safe for customer use.
- Assisting with the general control and supervision of customers to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all and deal with all customer contacts in a positive, helpful, and friendly manner.
- Assisting in inducting new staff and any temporary work placement students.
- Help ensure that customers are at all times dealt with in a positive manner and that the best principles of customer care and the relevant quality system are always maintained.

**Essential Criteria**:

- A current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
- One years’ experience of dealing with the public in a customer service environment.
- Awareness of Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult issues.
- Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis and ability to work additional hours as required.

**Desirable Criteria**:

- A relevant recognised coaching award.
- A First Aid at Work Qualification.
- One years’ experience within the Leisure Industry.
- Experience of I.T. based systems.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £10.01-£20.02 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Customer Service: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (required)
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
