The Opportunity

Our apprenticeships allow you to study for industry-recognised qualifications whilst earning a competitive salary. As an apprentice, you will study with a training provider, such as a college, and combine this experience with real responsibilities in the workplace. Your study pattern could be day or block release, or via distance learning, depending on the course that you enrol on. A dedicated mentor will guide you through your personal and professional development. Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeships have a typical duration of three years, during which you will attain both a professional and academic qualification to further your career. Our apprentices are employed on a permanent basis, so you'll continue to progress with Arup once you've completed your course.

**Civil Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship**

You'll help a team including engineers and other professionals to assess, design and supervise engineering works. You'll work on a wide range of projects - from roads and pavements to car parks, buildings, drainage, and earthworks, flood defence, dams & reservoirs and water treatment works. Projects and designs will come in all shapes and sizes, and could involve highways, bridges, and rail schemes. You will be involved in computer modelling and drawing of assets, including access roads, civil and building structures, bridges and utility infrastructure.

You'll also support us to deliver effective and professional services for a range of varied and high-profile clients. As part of your apprenticeship, you'll study towards a Level 3 qualification in Civil Engineering with one of our local partner colleges.

**Transport Planning Level 3 Apprenticeship**

- Preliminary access and operational design advice
- Large-scale data analysis using a range of industry standard software

- Stadium operations and event planning
