**Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Applied Criminology**:
**Job description**

**Background**

- We are keen to recruit a criminologist to join our dynamic Applied Criminology team to deliver and develop innovative and transformational modules on aspects of Applied Criminology. You would develop and supervise undergraduate research opportunities and work collaboratively with the psychology team to develop collaborative teaching and research. We are seeking an individual who is keen to develop innovations such as digital learning, Hydras, simulations and experiential activities to enrich the student experience. You will be a student focussed individual with a keen interest in equity and inclusion and widening participation.
- The BSc Applied Criminology courses sit within the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Social Sciences, in the School of Law, Policing and Social Sciences, which brings together Law, Politics, Policing, Forensic Investigation, Applied Criminology and Sociology in one vibrant community. As a school, we are dedicated to excellence in teaching, learning, assessing, all of which is supported by our experience as researchers and practitioners. We are also dedicated to supporting our staff and students to fulfil their academic and professional goals.

**The Person**
- We hope to recruit an individual who has experience of working in this field as a practitioner or has a Criminology focussed PhD / research speciality. You will be a student focussed individual and experience of working in Higher Education is an advantage. You will deliver teaching and learning opportunities on popular modules and you be involved in the management and development of the course. You will provide support to students from a wide range of backgrounds and you will be a self-sufficient team player who is committed to providing an excellent educational experience.
