An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Cheshire West & Chester Council. This is a temporary Children's Social Worker role within the Duty and Assessment Team.
In this role you will benefit from a competitive rate of £40 p/h whilst having the opportunity to work in a professional and vibrant environment. This is a hybrid role but being within a reasonable distance from Ellesmere Port is a plus.
The childrens social worker will be required to assess risk and produce assessments of excellent quality. Working within the Duty and the Assessment team the role will entail the below:

- Working with children on protection plans, looked after children and children in need
- Having extensive knowledge of relevant legislation
- Holding complex cases
- Liaising with other agencies
- Initial statements for court
- Providing children and family assessments
- Child protection meetings
- Section 47s
- Core assessments
- Attending LAC reviews
For this position you will need hold a recognised social work qualification and be SWE registered. Furthermore, you will have at least three years post qualifying experience in statutory child care setting in order to support your ability for this role.
