**About the roles**
Planning in East Devon is exciting and diverse, including major housing and employment developments in and around the new town of Cranbrook, Exeter Airport and the west of the District where we adjoin Exeter City. East Devon also includes large areas of AONB, the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and many historic market towns and villages. Our ambition is to be an outstanding planning service which works together with local people to create an outstanding community, economy and environment for East Devon, now and for future generations.

**About you**

You should also have excellent organisational and time management skills, and attention to detail is key. Excellent communication skills are also essential and you will need to be able to demonstrate a high level of tact and diplomacy and be able to negotiate effectively with customers. You’ll also need a driving licence and be able to travel as required (reasonable adjustments may be possible according to the Equality Act).
