**Job Title**: Digital Smoking Cessation Advisor

**Hours**: 18 hours, 12 month fixed term contract

**Reporting To**: Contract Manager/Clinical Lead

**Key Relationships**: Contract Manager, Clinical Lead, Healthcare stakeholders and partners

**The Role**:
To ensure that evidence-based Stop Smoking support is provided to the digital stop smoking programme users. Supporting users to make positive lifestyle changes through behaviour change interventions and motivational engagement as well as being the users main point of contact and support throughout their journey.

MoreLife digital stop smoking programme supports clients to make positive changes to their lifestyle using a holistic approach. The main focus of the role will include supporting clients to stop smoking, deliver information and guidance on stop smoking treatments to be provided, following the service protocol and to deliver remote interventions to assist smokers to achieve 4-week and 12-week quit status.

The post holder will also be involved in outreach work, engagement and ensure that health inequalities are addressed by providing tailored service provision to targeted groups such as Mental Health, Young People, Routine & Manual and Maternity.

**Key responsibilities: -**
- To plan, deliver and evaluate tailored stop smoking interventions and support. The majority of support will be provided remotely, however there may be an expectation of some face to face support e.g. in workplaces.
- Support will include tailored behaviour change support, assessing clients readiness to change, nicotine dependency and suitability for Stop Smoking treatments in accordance with the NSCST, NICE and Department of Health guideline.
- Able to provide evidence-based advice and information around the use of vapes along with support to clients choosing to quit a nicotine containing vape.
- Tailor support provided to the type of tobacco being used e.g. chewing tobacco, shisha.
- Confidently and professionally provide one-to-one support.
- Ensure adequate provision of stop smoking support at a range of times and days including evenings and/or weekends where required.
- Promote digital support at outreach events.
- To provide evidence-based interventions adhering to NCSCT standard treatment programme and MoreLife curriculum.
- Conduct telephone calls to prompt follow-up.
- Play an active role in supporting clients via the closed Facebook group. This will include creating regular posts and engaging content.
