- As the Logistics Team Leader you will be responsible for leading the activities of the team, meeting daily targets and objectives and all aspects of Health & Safety in your operational areas.
- You will train, develop, manage, and motivate your team to deliver an excellent service level whilst developing existing working relationships between teams and with other internal departments.
- In this role you will manage the logistics personnel, this includes leading team briefings, ensuring all team data is accurate and up to date, and that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities through the creation of SOP's.
- Promote development and training within the logistics department in line with the overall strategy of the Vaillant Group including the successful induction of new operators.
- Use Warehouse Management System WMS & SAP to effectively control stock and ensure internal logistics processes are working correctly and effectively via the Kanban system.
- Monitor and report on the materials management systems and processes and recommend improvements when necessary
- Promote an open enviornment so that all team members feel able to make suggestions for improvements.
- Measure, control and improve the performance of the Goods In, Linefeeder and Despatch teams and communicate that performance through the use of KPI's which include indirect efficiency, divisional audit, actively promote improvements within the business.

**The Successful Applicant**:

- A proven track record of successfully managing and leading a team of 5 or more staff.
- A Management qualification would be beneficial.
- Previous exposure in WMS and SAP would be advantageous.
- Health and Safety awareness is essential a relevant qualification in this field is preferable
- You should be able to communicate effectively and be proactive, 'quality focused' and have the determination to be part of a winning team.
- As a target driven individual, you should thrive in an environment where you work to achieve performance targets and standards.
