We are looking for a Patient Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Lead to join the Trust's busy and dynamic Patient Experience and Involvement Team.

This is an exciting role for someone who is committed to placing the voices of patients, their families and carers, and communities, especially those who are underrepresented, at the centre of the Trust’s service delivery and development.

You will be a creative and dynamic individual, who likes rising to challenges but is able to think calmly and rationally under pressure with the ability to use your own initiative, making reasoned decisions and escalating issues appropriately.

The role works across the Trust so the successful applicant will be required regularly to travel to our different sites.

Reporting to Head of Patient Experience and Involvement, this is a key role that is integral to ensuring the patient EDI agenda is embedded in our work.

The post holder will lead on engagement with patients, carers, and stakeholder groups in respect of ED&I matters, creating and sustaining relationships with external stakeholders and their representative groups to help inform existing and developing services and support.

The post holder will support the Trust in being compliant with national guidance and best practice for patient EDI, by developing and implementing effective initiatives.

The post holder will have excellent influencing and negotiation skills, experience of working on complex projects with multiple partners and be comfortable with working at pace.

The post holder will ensure that the Trust develops methods to expand reach and ensure diversity of perspectives to grow engagement and involvement of currently underrepresented and underserved communities to support the delivery of the organisation’s health inequalities priorities.
