An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Communications Officer - The post holder will be responsible for media matters providing a professional media and public relations service to actively promote a positive image of the force externally.
This role is suitable for Agile working.
In this role you will help inform residents, visitors and people who work across our vast force area about the work undertaken by Dyfed-Powys Police to keep them safe - you will do this via use of the local media, external and internal communication campaigns, social media channels, websites, local newsletters, events and through face-to-face engagement. You will develop, implement and evaluate measurable internal and external communications strategies and campaigns - ensuring that the learning from your work is shared amongst the team and others. You will maintain up to date knowledge of guidelines that impact upon the police service as regards to media law, press/media relations, community engagement and communications. You will work with other forces, the National Police Chiefs Council, Welsh Government, Home Office, the College of Policing and other agencies to implement force wide, regional and national communication campaigns.
