**What to expect**

The Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Team is a Centre of Expertise forming part of Jaguar Land Rover’s Human Resources, My Support Function.

The D&I Team define and drive the diversity and inclusion agenda across Jaguar Land Rover, ensuring visibility of D&I for our employees and working towards shaping a workplace where everyone can be their authentic self.

This role offers the chance to make a real contribution towards this goal. Reporting to the D&I Manager you will be responsible for various project work across multiple areas including HR and Communications ensuring the Diversity & Inclusion message reaches all parts of the business. You will seek to explore and understand needs and strategic imperatives of the business.

Acting upon these, and incorporating both internal and external insights, you will prioritise, develop and deliver appropriate solutions and put in place mechanisms to measure and report on outcomes achieved and value gained. You will work with all levels in the business raising the D&I profile both internally and externally.

**Key Performance Indicators**
- Delivery of multiple projects in parallel, within agreed budget, across multiple topics.
- Delivery of projects to support the D&I targets (Globally 30% females at senior management; UK 15% black, Asian or mixed ethnicity individuals at senior management; increasing the inclusion index score.)
- Delivery of initiatives supporting D&I 5-year strategy

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
- Drive effective solutions through collaboration with wider business communities and stakeholders
- Drive change management to build a diverse and inclusive culture, ensuring the business and its people are informed and curious about the topic
- Facilitate learning sessions in person/virtually for every level of the business from manufacturing workers to board level
- Work with multiple stakeholders to suggest relevant changes within policy, external partnerships and data in order to drive a collaborative approach to D&I.
- Take accountability for the effective piloting and review/evaluation of new projects and ideas confirming its suitability for the target audience.
- Keep abreast, share and update on external trends and practices which influence future needs and engage with external networks where necessary to grow and challenge approach for business
- Work with communications in order to ensure that D&I activity and understanding is accessible business wide
- Analyse data in order to highlight hot spots for focus, ensuring that data drives the decisions being made.
- Develop action plans for various topics to ensure that there are plans in place to address equity across all characteristics
- Understand the people processes within Human Resources in order to effectively suggest changes ensuring a fair and objective decision-making process
- Develop project plans to effectively track all project work
- Develop relationships with appropriate stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts and cross-functional teams to research and source data/information as required
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**

Essential:

- Project management skills ensuring you are able to manage multiple projects in parallel
- Previous experience of working in similar role with a proven track record of delivery of successful culture change projects
- Passionate about D&I with the ability to excite and engage stakeholders in projects being carried out
- Resilient and self-assured, with the ability to influence, changing mindsets
- Strong stakeholder management and networking skills at all levels of an organisation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills both cross functionally and at a corporate level to communicate out the wider D&I message
- Experience of working with a demanding workload, with multiple deadlines
- Confident at speaking in bigger internal events such as town halls; conferences.
- Commercial understanding of budgets and cost-effective solutions
- Strong analytical skills to identify how data can be utilised to focus on priority areas
- Linking short term project outcomes with longer term department aspirations

Desirable:

- Previous D&I experience in implementing projects under a strategy
- Experience of working in a manufacturing and/or engineering business
- Understanding of employment law, disciplinary and grievance pro
