Prescribed Medication Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a counsellor to work within the Prescribed Medication Service and the Primary Care Mental Health Counselling Service.

This specialist service supports clients who are dependent on prescribed medication. The successful applicant would be responsible for providing reducing regimes and monitoring/supporting clients through their reduction. The role requires the ability to work well with a range of professionals, clients and the wider community.

The role also supports the Primary Care Mental Health Counselling Service; To provide time-limited counselling interventions in primary care settings for clients with mild to moderate mental health problems.

The post holder would need to be able to fit into an existing multi-disciplinary team and be able to work under pressure, have good leadership and communication skills to deliver the desired quality and standard required of the Service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
