School Caretaker

Opening and locking up the school at the start and end of each day
- Routine security procedures and checking of alarms
- Being the No 1 keyholder and responsible for any call-outs
- General and classroom cleaning
- Oversee the work of the cleaning staff and carry our cleaning duties
- General outdoor maintenance and repairs
- Managing and maintaining the indoor swimming pool
- Ensure that the grounds are safe at all times and ensure that the outside pathways and entrances are swept
- Management of waste/refuse on site
- Maintain a safe condition of area of limited access (boiler and store rooms)
- Operate within the constraints of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
- General handyperson jobs including decorations
- Liaising with contractors as required
- Stock control of cleaning supplies
- Service any evening/weekend lettings
- Setting up for school events

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 35 per week

**Salary**: £20,042.00-£20,779.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Taunton, TA1 3NR: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- janitorial: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
