We are seeking an Inventory Controller to join our team in managing stock levels and ensuring efficient inventory control processes.
**Main Purpose of role**:
To work closely alongside other departments to continuously improve and develop the stock management systems and processes at sites. (manufacturing & warehouse)
To control and account for all parts, ancillary’s, stock levels, and advise Production Management on stock requirements. To investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of stock levels.
- Previous experience using ERP systems to manage inventory levels.
- Good knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage a variety of activities at the same time.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
- Good administrative skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Positive, pro-active, ‘can do’ attitude.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good PC skills and knowledge of current systems (Microsoft packages)
- Previous experience of managing inventory within a manufacturing environment and a reasonable awareness of BOM’s and consumption processes.
- Previous experience of participating within continuous improvement projects.
- Previous experience using and implementing Kanban, visual management, just-in-time and other lean tools and systems for the benefit of stock control.
**Key Responsibilities of the role**:
- Perform counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policies and processes
- Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory
- Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity
- Liaise with Production Management in relation to increasing stock levels
- Liaise with Purchasing Team for materials and parts supply
- Carry out any other ad-hoc duties as required
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
