- Provide leadership and supervision within the setting to ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages positive interactions among children.
- Lead a team of nursery staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Ensure child ratios are maintained at all times.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents, keeping them informed about their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other staff members and management to coordinate events and activities.
- Implement and enforce health and safety policies to create a secure environment for children and staff.
- Conduct regular safety drills and ensure that emergency procedures are understood by all staff.
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, development, and any incidents, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Contribute to the development of age appropriate curriculum.
- Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and attend relevant training sessions to enhance skills.
- **Education**: Minimum of a Childcare Level 3 Qualification.
- **Experience**: Some experience in a similar role.
- **Skills**:

- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Can read the same story over and over whilst getting interrupted several times per page.

- Can sing nursery rhymes even if it is out of tune.
- Must be able to laugh at jokes you don’t understand.
- Enjoys being outside in all weathers, we love the great outdoors.
- Can impersonate wild animals with full enthusiasm.
- Has a warm heart and is prepared to be very important and loved by both children and families.
