**Customer Service Advisor**

Station Road, Banbury OX16 5AB
£14.28 - £15.62 per hour
Full-time, Permanent Position

This position entails working on a 3 week rotating roster. 7 hr shifts

We are currently looking for new members for a team of railway station staff based at Banbury Station. Your job role will involve dealing with customers and carrying out duties throughout the station.

**Typical tasks could include**:

- Checking tickets and operating gates.
- Making sure that passengers get on and off the train safely.
- Carrying out Winter weather treatments, gritting, clearing snow & ice etc.
- Helping to load and unload luggage.
- Signalling the guard or driver to depart.
- Updating message displays showing passenger information.
- Ensuring the safety of members of the public, other staff and yourself at all times.
- Assisting in evacuations when / if required.
- Providing information to customers on services, routes, train times and delays.

**Experience & skills required**:

- Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing.
- Flexibility to carry out a variety of tasks at any time as requested.
- Good customer service skills and ensure the best customer experience possible is provided to each and every person that enters the station.
- Be able to work well as part of a team and use your own initiative when working unsupervised.
- Be open to working additional or different hours to contribute to the smooth operation of the station.
- Provide a highly visible and professional appearance at all times.
