**Roles and responsibilities**

Our cocktail bartenders are part of our Front of House team and a key part of the whole experience. From the moment our guests enter the venue, they are made to feel welcome and our team consistently delivers to our first class standard. Our platform bar is home to an extensive and excellent cocktail list, as well as bottled beers and wines. Our cocktail bartenders are responsible for first class drink preparation, presentation and service. Our bartenders report to the Bar Manager who regularly works behind the bar, or to the Front of House Supervisor and Bar Shift Leader, in the absence of the Bar Manager.

To be successful in the role you will need the following key skills:

- Minimum of one year’s experience making cocktails in a bar, restaurant, or events environment.
- Thirst for knowledge
- Strong communication and multi-tasking skills as you will need to communicate effectively across departments, with our guests who come from a variety of backgrounds, and with senior management. You should be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all.
- A natural people person and rapport builder.
- The ability to adapt, pivot, and work well under pressure.
- High personal standards of professionalism and presentation.
- A positive can-do attitude with passion for making and serving drinks and great hospitality service.

Main responsibilities:

- Preparation and service of a range of drinks to the highest standard and in a timely manner. We are looking for first class quality and speed, without compromising one for the other.
- Efficiently carry out opening and closing bar duties
- Carry out other bar duties as communicated by the Bar Manager
- Assist other areas of service as and when needed.
- Communicate effectively in both written and spoken forms with the General Manager, Bar Manager, Head Chef, Waiters, Bartenders, Actors, Door Supervisors, and Guests.
- Be alert and attentive to the needs of our guests
- Ensure that the bar and bar guest areas are clean and tidy at all times.
- Ensure that the bar is stocked up during service
- Ensure that the reserve bar stock is kept organised and easily accessible
- Coordinate drinks service to the dining carriage with other bar team members

**Live Day - Pre-Doors Opening**:

- Make sure the bar is fully stocked and any deliveries have been put away and organised in their correct place.
- Check day and date stamps on produce used as bar ingredients, make home-made purees, prepare fruit for garnishing, and ensure the bar has everything else in place for the shift to function smoothly.
- Inform the bar manager of any issues
- Ensure you are in full uniform prior to opening the house door and presentation is in line with the company’s high standard.
- Take your position behind the bar before the House doors open.

**Live Day - Doors Opened**
- Remain on radio comms throughout the show and keep communication clear
- Ensure empty glassware is collected and put through the glass washer throughout service.
- Ensure drinks are made promptly and delivered to our guests
- Be aware of anyone who is behaving inappropriately and inform the bar manager or bar shift leader immediately.
- Monitor for any underage guests attempting to purchase alcohol
- Be a full team player and assist the Bar Manager and other members of the bar team wherever needed.

The role is primarily evening work with the bar team being finished by midnight at the latest unless we have a special event which tends to be seasonal.

Hourly rate + service charge + gratuities + free meal on shift.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: From £13.00 per hour
