We're thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Bengali Speaking Senior Inclusion Worker to join our vibrant Camden service. This role involves engaging with various agencies to raise awareness of treatment services available to the Camden Bangladeshi community, making a real difference in their lives.

We seek someone passionate about understanding and addressing the systemic discrimination, stigma, and barriers faced by the Bangladeshi community—especially concerning access to drug and alcohol addiction treatment. This pivotal role involves community development by providing in-reach work in local Mosques as well as aiding service provision for existing members of the community who use our service.

**Salary**:£31,529.41 to £33,708.58

**Allowances**: £4072.06 Inner London Weighting

**Hours**: 37.5 per week

**Responsibilities**:
**About the Role**:
You will play a vital role in engaging memebers of Camden's Bangladeshi community, assessing, and providing crucial support to individuals seeking assistance with drug and/or alcohol treatment needs, through local community centers and places of worship.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Conducting follow-up treatment and interventions within community centres, Mosques, places of worship, collaborating with various agencies to address unmet community needs, and maintaining accurate records.
- Carrying a small caseload you will be the main coordinator, supporting individuals from the Bangladeshi community, from their point of entry into the service through their treatment and recovery journey.
- Engaging with and providing support to service users with drug and/or alcohol treatment needs within community centers and places of worship, aiming to break down barriers within the Bangladeshi community and facilitate easier access to treatment.
- Reducing drug and alcohol-related harm to service users and the wider community.
- Promoting involvement of carers, service users, and the local community.
- Collaborating with other agencies involved in the service user’s broader care plan, including health services, hospitals, and GPs.
- Establishing connections with other services and agencies across the city that provide support for members of the Bangladeshi community.

**About You**:
We are seeking individuals with a demonstrated track record in community engagement or service provision within Bangladeshi community.
- Your understanding of the challenges faced by diverse backgrounds in recovery from substance misuse issues, coupled with strong communication and advocacy skills, will be invaluable.
- Experience in contributing to project development is essential.
- You should be committed to multi-agency working and adept at establishing partnerships with other professions.
- Possessing proficient written and verbal communication skills, as well as a high level of personal IT competency, is necessary.
- You should also demonstrate the ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely manner, as well as work to deadlines for the submission of information, such as reports.
- Excellent time management skills, the ability to work independently, and prioritise tasks effectively are essential.
- Strong team working and interpersonal skills are vital, along with a cooperative approach to supporting colleagues in achieving service objectives.
