I'm delighted to be working on an exclusive basis to recruit a Finance Director for a well established business in the Midlands.

Based in Birmingham my client is a leading supplier of products into the education and public library sector.

They are looking to recruit a results-driven and confident Finance Director to manage and improve our organization's financial performance and guide our accounting operations.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the duties for the Finance Director will include: managing accounting records, leading and developing the accounts team, managing our cash and investments, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations,publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analysing financial data, monitoring expenditure, budget and cashflow forecasting, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial information.

It is crucial as the lead your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as a Finance Director will aid my client in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls,achieving organizational targets, and developing financial plans that support organizational strategy.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Finance Director will work with colleagues to streamline our accounting functions and operations, provide financial analysis and reports, train staff on business finance issues and help drive income generation.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Looking for an experienced Finance professional, someone looking for long term role, looking for a challenge.
Would suit an individual coming from a similar setting, small team, from and an SME, who understands as the most senior person in the department and limited scope for progression, there will be a lot of focus in shaping and driving the business forward.
You’ll be able to demonstrate that you have frontline experience of making decisions and advising the board as to where the business is going.

Applicants must have relevant experience gained in a similar position with strong finance management and leadership qualities, as this position operates as No 1 in finance for the business.

A degree and/or formal qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is preferred but not essential if practical experience in a similar position can be demonstrated.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the confidence to business partner with the MD and stakeholders across the business.

- In return a basic salary range of c£50,000 per annum

- 25 days holiday incl bank holidays, rising with length of service up to 32 days
- Buy or sell up to 5 days holiday

This is a full-time permanent role, initially office based Monday-Friday. Flexibility to work from home for part of the week, will follow after 6 months' service.
