Business Development Manager

**Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with experience dealing with main contractors/sub-contractors?** I am currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager for my client, who are a leading companywithin their sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong business development background and experience in a similar role at this level. This is a remote role covering the geographical location of Leeds and Sheffield, with the head officebased in Doncaster)** **Job role: Business Development Manager**
**Contract Type: Permanent**
**Hours: Full Time**
**Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE**
**Location: Leeds/Sheffield (Remote role)**
**The Role** Concentrating on defined geographies (London Southeast & London West), the additional team members will:
- Work with an allocated sales pipeline of key decision-makers and influencers in housing associations, local authorities and their supply chain contractors
- Adopt a structured approach to converting new leads to sales
- Introduce Sentry via calling and other contact methods including professional networking events
- Showcase Sentry Doors’ customer proposition to new leads
- Network through the customer base to establish the key contacts and projects available to Sentry
- Assess and validate sales opportunities to assess their suitability for our customer proposition
- Ensure that Sentry Doors is represented to secure opportunities on relevant procurement frameworks and portals
- Maintain ongoing relationships with customers to maximise our share of wallet
- Work with colleagues across the business to complete RFPs, tenders and quotations to meet our customer’s expectations
- Work closely with the internal sales and estimating team to ensure optimum focus on the conversion of the pipeline
- Support customers with on-site technical queries for quick resolutions
- Provide technical and product expertise at the highest levels to secure sales supported by internal sales and customer service representatives
- Demonstrable success and experience of working with Housing Associations and Local Authorities and securing business through the contractor network.
- Comfortable with RFP’s, tenders and framework agreements
- Strong track record of working with technical construction products
- Safety background - an advantage
- Passive fire protection - preferred
- Bespoke Fire doors - ideal
- Existing network of contacts in Housing Associations, Local Authorities, and main contractors
- Outstanding communication - written and verbal including presentation skills
- A natural networker with the skills and tenacity to reach the key decision makers
- Long-term relationship builder that becomes the customers trusted advisor
- A strong desire to learn and understand fire doors and the Sentry Doors proposition
- Ideally located in the chosen geography and/or willing to spend most of the week ‘on the road’ in those geographies
- Substantial track record of beating targets as a new business development professional
- Positive, enthusiastic and a strong team player that values the internal support network
- Confident in selling premium products with competitive advantages
- Formal sales training such as Achieve Global Sales effectiveness
