**Title of role - **Citrix VDI Architect
**Location - **Edinburgh, UK

**Role definition**
Architects are responsible for the fourth level management of Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, Ivanti User Workspace Manager, Windows Server, Incident tickets, SCOM (System Center Operations Manager) alerts, Queue Monitoring and Infra alerts. Architect should be able to Perform and manage routine maintenance tasks for the Citrix services in accordance with Citrix best practice.
**Role Description**
- Responsible for all aspects of Citrix design, performance-monitoring, tuning, scripting, new build, patching, hot fixes, lifecycle upgrades and troubleshooting complex and large Citrix server farms and maintenance of all Citrix production.
- Serve as an Architect for various technical aspects of Citrix, including XenApp, Xendesktop, Citrix Provisioning Services, Machine Creation Service, Citrix Virtual Applications, Citrix Virtual Desktops, Citrix Profile Management, Windows Roaming Profiles, Workspace Environment Management, Citrix Policies, NetScaler Gateway/Load Balancing/GSLB, Storefront, Multi-site aggregations, vSphere.
- Work side-by-side with the rest of the Citrix team as needed to perform routine maintenance of the Citrix system, including PVS maintenance scheduling, end-user support, creation of gold images for MCS/PVS vDisks, working with Advanced Group Policy Management, and setup/configuration and debugging of the various components of the Citrix farm
- Participate in documenting, communicating, and enforcing policies for securing and standardizing systems, infrastructure, and software as necessary.
- Monitor, correct, and report observed infractions of security policies and procedures
- Should be excellent in user experience monitoring, desktop performance validation and virtual desktop diagnostics solution using Stratusphere and SCOM.
- Extensive experience with Nutanix and VMware
- Responsible for providing innovation roadmaps, maintenance scheduling, life cycle management, and capacity management for the Citrix/Citrix Cloud environments and related dependent technologies.
- Excellent understanding on CFS/ITIL Process.
- Complete assigned ad-hoc projects and tasks.
- Document processes, procedures, and instructions for End Users and IT personnel.
- Lead product evaluations and proof of concepts for new technologies.
- Responsible for ensuring that the Services meet requirements (including related to VDI management, infrastructure, printing, SSO, anti-virus, app deployment, and profile management), and implementing the Solution successfully.
- Responsible for training and cross-skilling Service Provider Personnel to provide efficient and effective Services.
