Door Supervisor for High End Clothing Stores

We are seeking highly trained and experienced Door Supervisors to join our team at high-end clothing stores. As a Door Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of both customers and employees, while providing exceptional customer service. Your professionalism, excellent communication skills, and ability to handle challenging situations with tact and discretion will be crucial in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct thorough and meticulous checks of customers entering and exiting the premises to ensure compliance with store policies and regulations.
- Maintain a visible presence at the store entrance, providing a warm welcome to customers and assisting them with any queries or concerns.
- Implement and enforce crowd control measures during peak hours or special events to ensure a safe and comfortable shopping experience for all patrons.
- Monitor and assess any suspicious activities or behaviour, promptly reporting any potential security risks to the appropriate authorities and store management.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents or disturbances, diffusing conflicts and de-escalating tense situations with professionalism and assertiveness.
- Collaborate closely with store management and other security personnel to implement and improve security protocols and procedures.
- Keep accurate records of incidents, accidents, and any other relevant information, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
- Provide support during emergency situations, including evacuation procedures, first aid, and coordination with emergency services if required.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements pertaining to security operations, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Attend regular training sessions and workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills in security procedures and customer service.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience as a Door Supervisor, preferably in high-end retail environments or similar establishments.
- Possess a valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license.
- Strong physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods and carry out necessary physical interventions when required.
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to identify and assess potential security risks.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, employees, and law enforcement personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to handle difficult and challenging situations with professionalism, tact, and discretion.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures and basic first aid/CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Sound knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to security operations.
- A commitment to maintaining a professional appearance, demeanour, and attitude at all times.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 21 per week

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour
