An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 High intensity Integrative Psychotherapist to join our highly skilled team. We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced UKCP registered Integrative Psychotherapist to work within our integrated psychological therapy service in adult mental health.

The post holders will be based in Carmarthen but work within the Integrated Psychological Service across the Three Counties of Hywel University Dda Health Board (HDUHB), delivering evidence based psychological therapies to service users in both the primary and secondary care sectors.

Applicants wanting full time or part time hours will be considered.

To provide Comprehensive psychological therapy assessments for people with moderate and serious mental health difficulties.

Make decisions on new referrals, adhering to the service’s protocols, and develop appropriate management treatment plans in liaison with other services and agencies.

Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the specialist Psychotherapy assessment and treatment of clients in line with the service protocols.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. We do this in partnership with our three local authorities and public, private and third sector colleagues, including our volunteers, through:
**Four main hospitals**: Bronglais General in Aberystwyth, Glangwili General in Carmarthen, Prince Philip in Llanelli and Withybush General in Haverfordwest.

**Seven community hospitals**: Amman Valley and Llandovery in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron, Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire Hospital Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembrokeshire;
48 general practices (four of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centre's;
Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

Clinically, the postholder will work autonomously, within professional guidelines and the overall framework of service policies, procedures and strategic objectives. The postholder will make decisions relating to clinical risk and treatment plans based on complex factors, involving the evaluation of a range of options and formulating and planning complex interventions and treatment programs.

The postholder will provide structured clinical supervision for associate / trainee psychotherapists as well as to staff groups within the integrated psychological therapy service and Local Primary care mental health service, when required (in line with demand, capacity and service priorities as identified by management).

To provide training in psychotherapy-based interventions for practitioners, in the wider mental health service, when required according to service management requirements.

To provide advice and consultation to other members of the mental health MDT, as agreed with professional Lead.

To contribute to service improvement projects and policies working closely with the senior integrative psychotherapist on these projects, in line with the agreed service strategy.

To utilise knowledge of specialist theory, evidence-based literature and research to support evidence-based practice in individual work.
