They must demonstrate effective communication skills and be passionate about working within a multi-disciplinary team.
- To assist the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist with a range of duties
- To work as a member of the Stroke Specialist MDT
- To provide holistic interventions for patients, often without direct supervision, working to treatment plans, protocols and accountable at all times to a registered practitioner
- To support patient centered rehabilitation in order to facilitate timely, safe transfer of care, reflecting individual choice and maximizing individual’s independence
- To record patient information
- To regularly and accurately input data onto IT systems
- To assist the therapy staff with the running of the department and the team including the day to day organization of duties for assistants in agreement with the Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist.
