Paediatric Complex Care Assistant

We're recruiting dedicated and compassionate Complex Care Assistants to join our Specialist Services Team to provide care to our client in the Basildon area.

You'll be providing care and support to a 14 year old male with bilateral motor disorder, who is non-verbal. Individual needs include:

- Bilateral motor disorder - mixed spastic dystonic tone GMFCS v equivalent dislocation of right hip
- Epilepsy
- Jejunostomy fed with PEG in situ
- Visual impairment
- Dependence on supplemental oxygen
- Scoliosis - the client is awaiting spinal surgery but needs to be established on BiPAP
- Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease
- Global developmental delay
- Secondary osteoporosis - the client has commenced bisphosphonate therapy
- Buckle fracture of right ankle during routine handling in 2019

**Working hours**:
Working hours are 6 hours per day 2:1 care during term time (Monday - Friday). Alternate Saturday or Sunday.

2:1 care for respite 11am - 7pm term. 9am - 6pm twice weekly.

We provide a comprehensive clinical training and induction programme, overseen by professional nurses, to ensure you have the skills and confidence to succeed in your role working as a Care Worker in the Specialist Team.

We are looking for people who have excellent people skills, are great communicators and can work effectively in a team as well as independently.
