**Job Purpose**:
Coordinate the activity of various partners and interventions to ensure that services are delivered effectively and communities protected from violence and vulnerabilities.

Working with partners across a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies, responsible for coordinating the strategic and operational delivery of the SBP Violence and Vulnerability action plans; in line with the SBP’s priorities.

Monitor issues or gaps in violence and vulnerability provision for client.

Coordinate monitoring and reporting on commissioned services and outcomes.

With support from the Community Safety Manager, you will offer oversight and ensure efficient coordination, development and effective partnership case management.

**Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities**

Develop relationships and manage work with partners, including:
Working with the key stakeholders, namely: Police, Voluntary sector services, Probation (NPS, CRCs), Health Economy, Children’s and Adult Social Care, Housing etc.

Working with the key stakeholders and community leaders to continually monitor and assess local need and assess gaps in V&V provision.

Liaising with Criminal Justice partners to ensure that robust and holistic action is taken to reduce offending relating to V&V related crimes, including VAWG and Gang crimes and increase conviction rates for offenders.

Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure that robust and holistic interventions are in place to reduce victimisation relating to all V&V related crimes, including VAWG, Serious Youth Violence and Gang and Knife crimes and increase victim support.

Ensuring regular on-going communication and feedback to key stakeholders and communities.

Work with partners to develop and implement effective V&V strategies in Brent, including:
With support form the Community Safety Manager, coordinating, implementing and monitoring the V&V priority strategies and action plans.

Developing an integrated service delivery model involving key partners through ensuring effective operating policies and procedures are in place to tackle V&V issues.

Coordinating the strategic delivery groups ensuring effective governance for the V&V issues, ensuring appropriate strategic direction is taken working collaboratively with the group chairs.

Ensuring effective borough delivery of multi-agency resourcing and panels, leading decision making and partnership commissioning.

Ensuring an annual review of the strategic assessment of borough V&V issues to help inform appropriate support and interventions; helping to address service and intervention gaps through effective commissioning.

Coordinating effective cross departmental commissioning options for shared priorities.

Identifying and working with intervention providers to ensure adequate service provision is provided using effective project/contract management.

Develop cross border and regional partnership groups to ensure sharing best practise and progressed information sharing.

Commissioning a range of services for priority V&V related crimes, through the management and administration of the community safety team V&V budget.

The preparation and planning for new commissions including tendering out for services where required to support the community safety manager, to ensure that a coordinated package of effective interventions and initiatives are in place.

Providing specific expertise and knowledge to the team and wider partnership on the V&V issues inclusive of VAWG (incl. specifically domestic abuse) and Gang related agendas, reducing violence and vulnerability issues to aid an increase in Brent community safety.

Monitor and report on the Community Safety Team V&V issues, including:
Monitoring and reporting on the performance and progression of priority strategies and action plans to the Community Safety Partnership and delivery Boards.

Governance of the operating models (including the panels) and quality assurance for the wider borough interventions.

Analyse, develop and agree outcomes to be reported on with partners, such as offending rates, flagged offences, arrests, reduction in risk etc.

**Qualifications and Professional Membership requirements**

Educated to equivalent of degree level or other relevant professional qualification.

**Knowledge (please specify all essential criteria)**

Understanding factors leading to violence and vulnerability related crime and influencing factors affecting offending and victimisation.

Proven experience of working in and leading a multi-agency setting.

Working knowledge of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and other relevant legislation.

Good working knowledge of current issues in criminal justice related to the VAWG agenda, including domestic abuse and other harmful practises (including knowledge of the MARAC).

Good working knowledge of current issues in criminal justice related to gang and knife related crimes,
