Cambridge, United Kingdom University of Cambridge Full time

The Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology seeks to appoint a Senior Assistant Curator in Anthropology, to start on 1 October 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Applications are welcome from research-active anthropologists with museum experience.

The appointee will contribute to the work of an internationally-respected, dynamic research museum, in particular to the care, documentation and exhibition of the Museum's extensive world cultures collections. Alongside colleagues, he or she will help make the collections accessible to researchers, students, public audiences and communities internationally, and will be expected to supervise staff, volunteers and students, contribute to Museum administration and programmes, and to University teaching. The appointee should also anticipate making a substantial contribution to a major programme of research and engagement towards the redisplay of world cultures across the Museum.

The University has a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to live and work in the UK.
