Our Owen Oil Tools business unit is excited to be recruiting CNC Miller/Turner in the UK within their Guardian group. Owen Oil Tools design and manufacture equipment which allows our customers to get more oil from their reservoirs and overcome their extraction challenges.

**JOB PURPOSE**:
The purpose of this role is to mechanically manufacture components to the required quality and industry standards, paying particular attention to workmanship quality, health and safety issues and ensuring mistakes are minimised.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- ** **Must be able to understand technical drawings.
- Program, setting and operating CNC Machines to within drawing specifications and within allocated times. Primarily Fanuc based HAAS milling machines.
- First off inspection and in process inspection to be carried out. Inclusive of filling out quality inspection sheets and route cards.
- Use of measuring equipment, including micrometers and verniers.
- Must produce programs and back these up. This will include creation of a setting sheet.
- Must be able to work well as part of a team, as well as on an individual basis. Working additional hours to get the job done when required.
- Must be able to work accurately and efficiently.
- Good maintenance and appropriate storage of equipment to ensure that all is fully functional when required.
- Assist with internal training, as required.
- Good housekeeping at all times.
- Other duties may be included in this role, but which will be consistent with the role.
- Operate in accordance with Company recognised procedures and processes at all times.
- Comply with all HSE requirements.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as designated by the line manager.

**QHSE RESPONSIBILITIES**
Demonstrate compliance with the applicable legal requirements, Company QHSE policies, guidelines and procedures and codes of practice (as applicable).
PPE requirements (Safety footwear, goggles, gloves, ear protection)
Working within a fast-paced machine shop environment.

**EXPERIENCE**:
Related industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competent in all aspects of manufacturing requirements and will have a considerable experience working on similar machines.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. **WORK ENVIRONMENTS**:
This position is based site based with significant part of working being office based with occasional site visits.
- Predominantly an indoor position.
- Limited exposure to working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment.
- Limited exposure to noise over 85 Decibels and the light is intense/ glare.
- Work surfaces stable, height is elevated.
- Almost exclusively outdoors during the day and evening.
- Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace.
- Work surfaces stable (flat).
