CORGI Technical Services’ revenue helps to fund the Gas Safety Trust, who carry out vital research into Carbon Monoxide Poisoning.
Gas Auditor required in Basingstoke.
With 50 years of gas safety expertise, CORGI Technical Services provides auditing, consultancy and training services to the social housing and facilities management sectors. We are currently looking to expand our nationwide team of Domestic and Commercial Gas Inspectors to fulfil existing customer contracts across the country.
**MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB**
Consistently and effectively complete Gas Safety and Compliance Inspections, Audits and Quality Control Checks for CORGI Technical Services Ltd ("CORGI") to allow CORGI clients to measure and demonstrate safety and compliance.
Maintain client relationships when undertaking measures to meet the customers’ requirements and expectations.
**POSITION IN ORGANISATION**
**Reports To**:Technical Safety Manager
**Responsible For**:
- Undertake a predetermined number of audits in an agreed period
- Assess others work for safety and compliance against industry legislative requirements and best practice
- Work within a given region and willingness to undertake occasional travel out of their given region but within the U.K.
- Attending meetings to represent CORGI
- Dealing with technical enquiries
- Complying with company policies and procedures
- Inputting findings using CORGI digital platform
- Planning work depending on the contractual service level agreements in place
**Essential**
- Experience of working within the gas industry with a detailed knowledge of domestic and/or commercial gas installations
- Relevant ACS qualifications
- Willing to have a hands-on approach to carrying out third-party safety and quality audits
- Up to date knowledge of gas safety and legislation and industry standards
- Good communication skills
- Willing to travel around a given region
**Desirable**
- Experience in carrying out third party safety and quality audits - desirable but not essential as full training to our high standards will be provided
- A1, A2 assessor (D32,33) assessor qualification - desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- NVQ level 3, City & Guilds in Gas Installation and Commercial qualifications
- Maintenance and commercial gas ACS qualifications
- Experience of working within a facilities management and/or social housing environment
- Sub - Contract workers:_
- CORGI branded workwear
- Tablet provided (if required)
- Fuel payment depending for mileage over agreed terms
- Sub - Contractors will need to provide:_
- Own Vehicle (suitable for the type of work)
- Electronic Combustion Gas Analyser (calibrated)
- Fuel
- Work materials (sundries/documents)
- Required insurances (e.g. Public liability £5MIL)
**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance
Part-time hours: 15 per week
**Salary**: £180.00-£220.00 per day
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
**Experience**:
- qualified gas engineer: 5 years (required)
