**Senior People Strategist**

**About the Team**

The People Strategy team is, at its core, obsessed with bringing out the best in our people to achieve transformational growth within themselves and for Rapid7 because we believe that our people are the lifeblood of our company and central to achieving our mission.

We do this through a proactive People Strategy partnership model that starts with a deep understanding of our business, our culture and our people.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Director of People Strategy, the Senior People Strategist will act as a strategic business partner across the business to build key people initiatives and partner with leaders on both day-to-day people issues and strategic initiatives while working in a rapidly growing fast paced environment.

**In this role, you will**:

- Be the primary People Strategy point of contact to the teams you support.
- Be the people expert, working closely with leaders as they work on growing and developing their teams.
- Partner with managers to proactively diagnose and communicate trends around people and team issues (ie engagement, retention, collaboration) and support the development of solutions to address them
- Act as a coach and partner to managers to strengthen and support their skills in performance coaching, handling difficult conversations, get well plans and employee relations challenges (in compliance with local laws).
- Partner with People Strategy leadership team to drive the execution of the employee lifecycle - including performance management, merit and bonus planning, promotions and internal transfers and exits/terminations.
- Deliver with a consistent focus on building a high-performing culture of growth and development through effective leadership, communication and feedback
- Collaborate with People Strategy team and business leaders to ensure that employee initiatives are in line with and reinforce our company’s culture and core values

**The skills you’ll bring include**:

- Incredible focus on reaching positive customer outcomes.
- Proven experience working in People Strategy/HR, Organizational Development or a related field
- Passionate about understanding and optimizing the day to day experience of our people, and are their to help guide our employees through their journey
- Experience coaching managers, managing challenging team dynamics and building alignment through effective communication
- A balance of business acumen, empathy, relationship building, and courageous dialogue with unquestionable integrity
- Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders
- A natural influencer and problem solver. People are comfortable around you, want to follow your lead and hear your perspective
- Approaches challenges with a learning mindset - you are not afraid to try something different and learn from your mistakes
- Proactive, self-motivated and has a strong personal ownership of problem resolution.
- Handles ambiguity well - actually thrives in it
- Experience working on a multinational/global level is highly advantageous.
