Typing/Processing clinic notes and related documentation to a high standard using RIO/SF4 Secretary Assistant and DMO/BigHand transcription system. This task will be allocated and output and quality monitored by the Medical Secretary. Processing of e-referrals and their collation ready for triage by clinicians. Creating patient files and requesting copies of external case notes.

Scanning documentation on to RIO/EPR (Electronic Patient Record). RIO/PAS data entry to correctly reflect patients RTT (Referral to Treatment) status. Other data entry duties e.g. MSST patient tracking spreadsheets.

Sending out completed reports and correspondence. Maintenance of an efficient paper and/or electronic patient records system which is compliant with Trust standards, ensuring clinicians have the necessary patient information available to them at all times. Efficient management of incoming telephone calls, dealing with general queries from patients and staff. General administration duties e.g.

distribution of mail, photocopying, ordering stationery.
