**Head of Sport Audience**

Location: MailOnline Headquarters - London
Position: Permanent

MailOnline, the world's largest English-language newspaper website, is seeking an experienced **Head of Sport Audience** to join our team in London. In this role, you will lead the development and execution of our social media, SEO and video strategy.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead MailSport's original and social video operation, in alignment with the overall editorial and commercial objectives of the business
- Oversee the end-to-end production process of original video content, from ideation and scriptwriting, to filming, editing and distribution
- Collaborate with the editorial and commercial teams to identify key topics and trends that should be covered in editorial and video form, and develop content ideas accordingly
- Coordinate SEO advice, lead SEO presence in Sport newsroom conferences and inform editorial with clear SEO-lead insights
- Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize content and engagement on all platforms
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging social media trends to ensure that MailSport remains at the forefront of social media innovation
- Directly manage and provide leadership to MailSport's social media, video and SEO teams

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a digital media or publishing environment and a background in sports journalism
- Strong understanding of video content creation, production and distribution, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, engaging video content
- Strong understanding of Google Discover, Google News, organic search and Top Stories - and how to grow traffic across these referrers
- Sound knowledge of social media platforms and their respective audiences, as well as social media analytics and monitoring tools.
- Experience in managing teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data and audience feedback to inform content strategy and improve engagement
