**We are recruiting an information specialist to lead on systematic reviews.**

This post is based at our site in Ryton-on-Dunsmore (CV8 3EN). Hybrid working opportunities can also be discussed prior to you taking up your post.

Lead on systematic reviews and literature searches across numerous research projects to directly support College objectives to develop the knowledge base of what works in policing.

This is a specialist research support role; working collaboratively and flexibly to establish and build partnerships with research colleagues, practice developers, external research partners and academics.

**Some of your responsibilities will include**:

- Working alongside researchers and practice developers to conduct scoping and search activity according to established and agreed methodologies.
- Leading on literature searching; designing complex search strategies and sift criteria for systematic reviews. Sifting the identified evidence through systematic searching, rating and coding for relevance and quality. Influencing and training colleagues on the best terms to narrow or widen a search to address research questions.
- Building relationships with stakeholders to ascertain, support and develop their information needs and provide a customised and credible service.

**To be successful in this role you’ll need**:

- Knowledge and professional experience in conducting literature searches for systematic reviews and/or rapid evidence assessments in a relevant information or research environment.
- Critical appraisal skills, applied to the process of carrying out complex literature searches and systematic reviews.
