We are currently recruiting for a Buyer on a full time permanent basis.
You will be working within the Purchasing Department, processing specific purchase orders generated predominately from the transaction software, CF, and often complementing with self-generated Excel workbook. Typically, Purchase Orders are semi auto generatedfrom the Sales Orders.
Duties
- Respond to customer specific requests, via the Sales Team
- Efficient manner with information such as sample ordering, delivery date, proof of deliveries and quotation requests.
- Sourcing directly from established supply base, or, through suppliers that you have approached and qualified,
- Quote or deliver the optimum combination of capability, price, lead-time and quality.
- Ensure that a full written documentation trail is available
- Proactively manage costs, in line with required profit margins and budgets.
- Utilise skills to negotiate best prices / payment terms / deals from suppliers.
- Produce and provide accurate delivery prices to sales team.
- Geographical knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of custom and logistic requirements for EU and non-EU countries.
- Raise formal purchase orders through our order processing system.
- Risk assess and then program orders for delivery.
- To always communicate warmly and efficiently with all departments
- Develop your product knowledge and assist your colleagues by participating in internal training and knowledge sharing.
- Assist in finding new suppliers
- Assist in finding new products
- Attend monthly team meetings with the GM
