Are you an immediately available HR Advisor with a passion for the education sector?
This exciting HR Advisor role is working for one of UK's leading education charities who work with and support educators and trainers across the UK in various fields to reach their full potential.
Working as a HR Advisor you will work in an existing HR team of 5 people, and will report the Associate Director of People and Workplace.
Although you will have no formal line management responsibilities you will contribute the day to day running of an efficient HR team who will support the wider organisation at a time of change and development.
Your day-to-day duties as HR Advisor will include;
- Overseeing the full employee cycle offering advice and guidance to line managers in routine processes such as probation meetings
- Assisting on an existing flow of ER cases and ongoing investigations
- Assisting with review and rewrite of policies and procedures
- Assisting with organising and rolling out companywide raining programmes
- Supporting with monthly payroll changes
- Assisting with departmental restructures and redundancies
- Reviewing data and spotting trends to control upcoming issues
Working as a HR Advisor you will have to manage various things at the same time and you will work in constantly changing environment. Although CIPD qualifications will be ideal they are not required as long as you can demonstrate strong knowledge in other areas.
The skills you will bring to you role as HR Advisor will include;
- Experience of working as HR Advisor in generalist capacity
- Experience of working in education or not for profit organisation
- Thorough understanding of HR policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of employment law
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - without relying on existing templates
