The role will take ownership of the client experience and communicate effectively with them in order to enhance their understanding and compliance with veterinary recommendations so that we can deliver the best care possible to their pets.
It will involve working closely with a variety of colleagues within the practice, store and Support Office to deliver a world class cutting edge service.
This is a part time position working 25-30 hours per week.
Key Accountabilities
- To work with the rest of the team in delivering a high quality service in a changing environment, that supports and reflects colleague, client and patient needs, and best practice company & regulatory policies and procedures.
- To undertake a learning and development journey that enables ownership of an increasingly larger part of the client journey/experience, developing strong product knowledge and promoting high standards of pet health care.
- To ensure all visiting pets are received and cared for as if they were our own.
- To engage positively, warmly and pro-actively with clients and pet owners from first point of contact onwards, managing expectations, building and managing ongoing relationships, booking in visits, ordering repeat prescriptions, sending reminders and relevant promotional offers, and following up with clients post-visit.
- Receiving clients and their pets for appointments and supporting them through their entire visit, including their consultation with the vet or nurse.
- To support client understanding and drive compliance with proposed treatments, preventative care, insurance and health plan uptake & retention.
- To guide clients through sensitive situations with empathy.
- To engage positively & proactively with clients in seeking the best options for them & their pets.
- To manage practice administration processes, ensuring everything is dealt with in an appropriate, accurate and timely manner.
- Managing payments and following debtor processes to keep debt to a minimum.
- Working with other members of the team to ensure client-facing and other areas of the practice are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and presentable at all times.
- To collaborate with and engage in productive working relationships with practice, store and Support Office colleagues.
Requirements for the Role
Skills and Knowledge:
Essential:
- Strong communication skills (verbal & non-verbal)
- Basic IT skills and computer literate
Preferred
- Customer service/sales experience
- Veterinary practice or health care experience
