We require a qualified and experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner to work within our nursery. We are open from 7.30am-6pm, Monday-Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).

Applicants must have a minimum level 3,4,5 or 6 in Childcare and Education and have experience working in a nursery with excellent knowledge of the EYFS.

**Key responsibilities**

To be enthusiastic, self motivated and use your own initiative.

To have a good understanding of child protection, child development and the E.Y.F.S.

To have commitment to equality and diversity.

To welcome the children on arrival.

To maintain good communication with parents and carers.

To assist with coats and self organisation.

To be a key person build relationships with the child and their parents and take observations.

To move to another group or area as and when asked.

To provide help to individual children as required.

To assist with nappy changing/ toileting as required.

To assist in clearing away and the storage of equipment.

To make oneself aware of all the safety precautions, policies and procedures.

To help with the supervision of lunch time arrangements.

In terms of dress, behaviour and language to make oneself presentable and wear the required uniform.

To help with the cleaning of the premises as required.

To assist with planning and delivering activities, which provide a variety of experiences.

To supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.

To prepare and provide varied and nutritious snacks (remembering food safety).

To monitor and conduct safety checks.

To provide first aid when necessary (first aiders only).

To take part in staff and planning meetings.

To undertake other duties as may become necessary and agreed with the manager/deputy.

To undertake any relevant training.

Knowledge of In the moment planning would be an advantage.

**Job Type**: 20-40 Hours. Flexible

Pay: £12.00 per hour
