**About the role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic part-time post-award Research Administrator to join the Department of Political Science administrative team to support the post-award delivery of three grants administered by the ERC, UKRI and the ESRC.

Working under the supervision of the Research Manager, and in conjunction with the departmental finance and research team, the post holder will provide administrative support managing the funders' post-award processes and policies, funder's on-line portals financial monitoring procedures, reporting and other grant project related tasks.

The post-holder will provide guidance and support to the PI and research staff on UCL's financial regulations, policies and managing the MyFinance administrative system. The post holder will also act as the approver for the PIs and research project staff iExpense claims.

**This post is funded from 1 September 2023 to 31 May 2028, the contract will be initially issued at 50% from 1 September 2023 until 31 August 2024, it will subsequently be extended from 1 September 2024 until 31 December 2025 at 45% FTE and finally it will be extended from 1 January 2026 to 31 August 2028 at 40% FTE**:

- **1 January 2026 - 31 August 2028 = 40% FTE**

**About you**:
The post holder must have previous experience of post-award research administration, in relation to managing the ESRC/UKRI and ERC research awards.

Experience of MyFinance financial system and budgeting processes including the preparation and monitoring of budgets is essential. A keen eye for detail equipped with excellent all-round communication skills, organised and excellent planning and management skills are required.

Setting up new systems, maintaining websites and managing press releases/public communication would be major elements of this post.

Flexible and capable of working both independently and cooperatively within a team is an essential part of this post.
