**Painter/Prepper/Sprayer (Classic Car Restoration)**

Retroclassic Engineering specialise in the restoration and repair of a wide range of vintage, classic, retro and future classic cars, along with carrying out bespoke modifications and ‘restomod’ conversions.

**This role is based at our premises in Moreton Valance, Gloucestershire which is located just 5 minutes from the M5 Junction 12/13.**

**Your responsibilities will include;**
- Painting a wide range of vehicles from minor repairs including blending, to assisting with all aspects of full re-sprays using our in-house 2k and water based mixing schemes
- Masking, priming & filler work, with a focus on our short-term pipeline of work and assisting our senior painter with full restoration projects
- Painting vehicle mechanical, underbody and miscellaneous components for our vehicle restoration department and ensuring all parts are finished to an exceptional restoration standard
- Flatting, polishing and quality control inspection of your own paintwork using a detailing style light to ensure a perfect finish
- Ensuring parts/consumables are ordered in a pro-active and efficient manner to avoid project downtime

**Desirable skills for this role include;**
- Strip/fit and panel alignment experience would be a distinct advantage
- Experience in carrying out filler work, priming, blocking spray filler and high build primer along with edge-to-edge filling of vehicle bodywork would be a distinct advantage
- Experience in mixing 2k/water based paint systems and tinting colours for a perfect colour match would be an advantage, however full training can be provided
- Have a keen eye for detail, take pride in the quality of their work, and have a strong interest in classic cars
- Have at least 3 years experience as a vehicle prepper/painter, hold related industry qualifications, be comfortable working to strict deadlines/target hours and able to follow detailed work instructions
- Be able to work independently to meet strict project deadlines, managing your own projects efficiently along with the completion of detailed job records
- Have good communication and IT skills, a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, a strong work ethic, and be punctual/organised
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Have a positive approach to learning new skills and working as part of a team
- Hold a Full UK Driving Licence

This role is a full-time position working Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, overtime available

**Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.**
