**Main responsibilities for the successful Accounts Assistant**:

- Ensure sales invoices are accurately processed.
- Processing supplier invoices and payments and transferring them to the banking platform.
- Account sales preparation, taking advantage of preferable terms when applicable.
- Remit payments, retaining receipts of transactions.
- Reconcile transactions and correct any discrepancies.
- Assess invoices comparable to project, department, and company forecasts.
- Assist with a month end balance sheet reconciliation.
- Monitoring of debtors to ensure our cash position is optimised.
- General administration and bookkeeping tasks.

**An ideal Accounts Assistant will have**:

- Knowledge of accounts payable principles and operations.
- Financial management knowledge and bookkeeping.
- Detail-oriented and mathematical mindset.
- Understanding of accounting categories.
- Knowledge of accounting systems.
- Experience working with software as well as bookkeeping software.
- Establish policies and procedures to maximise company's financial strengths.
