You will work as part of our multi-disciplinary team in assisting nurses and doctors, so will need to be able to work as part of our team or independently undertaking various roles.

You will work alongside the nurses, assisting in admitting our patients, caring for our confused and acutely ill patients and assisting with activities of daily living and providing support to patients and relatives. You will need to be able to assess, plan, deliver, prioritise and evaluate patient care.
As well as working alongside our doctors and multi-disciplinary team in undertaking cannulation, venepuncture and ECG’s, Manual handling and using medical devices.

The post holder works as part of the D57 team providing clinical support to medical and nursing staff.
The support worker will be responsible for providing venepuncture, cannulation and ECG recording within these units. You will need to have completed your venepuncture and ECG packages, and provide evidence thereof.
The post holder will be required to prioritise and manage their own workload within a dynamic and busy environment.
The post holder will also undertake other nursing duties, which will include direct patient care, in support of and under the supervision of a registered nurse as well as some training and supporting of staff
