SOCOTEC Monitoring UK specialises in the installation of high quality geotechnical, structural and environmental instrumentation for monitoring earth, rock and concrete structures including dams, tunnels, embankments, retaining walls, piles and steel work for civil engineering works, mining projects and the railway infrastructure throughout the United Kingdom.

GeoSocotec JV (GSJV) is an unincorporated joint venture between Socotec Monitoring and Geo-Instruments to execute the Instrumentation & Monitoring scope of the HS2 S1/S2 Project (sub-contracting to the main S1/S2 Contractor).

**Overall Job Scope**

Location: Full time based at the Acton Logistics Hub (Unit 3, Vision, Kendal Avenue, Acton, W3)

GeoSocotec has recently leased a Logistics Hub in Acton, West London. This is ~3.5sqft with a warehouse space and a small office space. This role is for the Facilities Co-ordination and Equipment Management (Material Purchase, Goods Receipt, Stock Control).

The role will work closely with the Socotec HQ (based in Uckfield) where the main Procurement and Stores processes are managed from. The Operations teams from there, and the Project teams based from the Acton hub will also be key links.

**Core Activities, Duties and Key Tasks**
- Working alongside Procurement team in the purchase & management of materials for the Project (using SAGE 50).
- Goods receipt of materials and equipment as they are delivered
- Goods in inspection and booking deliveries onto system
- Monitoring & recording existing stock levels
- Creating purchase orders to keep stock levels at desired level, or to purchase job specific materials
- Communicating with suppliers and site staff to ensure items are delivered and processed in a timely fashion.
- Kitting, including labelling up and stock adjustments
- Packing and dispatch, as required
- Ensuring stock bins are correctly labelled and stock locations are regularly updated
- Maintaining security of the store
- Loading and Unloading of vehicles
- Keeping warehouse clean and tidy
- Take reasonable care for the Health and Safety of yourself and any other persons who may be affected by your acts and to co-operate with SOCOTEC Monitoring UK in order that the employer’s duty may be fulfilled
